| Do we know if they will begin the transition in 2010 or 2011? Also, have there been any exact aircraft serials listed yet? I know they are to get them from the 34fs and 36fs but this is the first Ive heard!!!! This is my home unit!!!! |

Hello Bandit,
The WI ANG in Madison and the CO ANG were about to receive a mix of Block-40 aircraft both from the 388th FW at Hill AFB, UT and the 36th FS / 51st FW at Osan AB, Korea starting last year!!
The CO ANG at Buckley AFB was on a "fast track" to receive Block-40s from the above mentioned squadrons at Hill and Osan, but so far this never materialized.
The 52nd FW at Spangdahlem AB, Germany is unaffected as we spak - meaning, at least, that the Block-50s supposed to transfer to the 36th FS at Osan have not left - thereby no Block-40s have left Osan and the 34th EFS has just started a 120 day tour in Afghanistan!!
I doubt that it will take effect any time soon now.
Cheers,
Henrik. |

Hello bandit!!
Last thing I´ve heard on this is that the CO ANG will keep their current Block-30 aircraft for the next 18 months, at least!!
Cheers,
Henrik. |
