Electrical/Avionics Systems Engineer, Sr.

Derco Aerospace, Inc., an industry-leading aerospace distributor of spares, components, and services, is seeking an innovative and experienced Sr. Electrical/Avionics Systems Engineer with expertise in test system development and overhaul & repair support.

Candidate will work as an integrated part of the multi-experienced Derco Engineering & Technical solutions team and be a key component in designing, developing, and delivering custom aerospace avionics solutions. Candidate will interpret technical engineering data and develop hardware/software solutions to support engineering related activities. International travel is required along with relocation to Milwaukee, WI.

Desired qualifications are a BS or MS in Engineering (Avionics/Electrical Engineering preferred). Experience in Commercial/Military avionics depot repair work preferred. Ideal candidate must have a minimum of 7 - 10 years experience and possess some or all of the following skills:

• Experience in avionics depot level component repair.
• Experience in multiple aircraft avionics support.
• Hardware experience with analog/digital design related to test and measurement environment and hardware: spectral analysis, serial pulse generation, analog signal generation/measurement, digital signal simulation/measurement.
• Familiarity with avionics depot level test equipment operation and design.
• Self starter, able to carry out multiple complex projects start to finish and interface with customer repair shops and aircraft support personnel to solve production problems.
• Assist with Customer visits and support technical sales with avionics engineering and proposal development.
