Did I miss the post on this? http://www.f-22raptor.com/news_view.php?nid=416

Read a blurb in the AF Times the other day that it was caused by a brake malfunction and that the pilot "unexpectedly" lost steering after turning off both engines...

Obviously I know the original story is an old one, which would be why I asked if I missed posts about it. I wouldn't have bothered with a post at all, except for the recent blurb in the AF Times about the cause of the incident. I thought it rather odd that nosewheel steering was "unexpectedly" lost when both engines were turned off since nosewheel steering doesn't work without hydraulic power from the pumps, which are powered by the engines... But thanks for overlooking that and assuming I have the intelligence of a three year old.

I know how Bodizzle feels, sometimes what we post as an honest and harmless question gets twisted into another direction.

Often they tend to rub people the wrong way. It happens.

That being said, I seem to recall hearing about this back then. A Forum this size can easily have threads fall through the cracks- it's like a huge library! Smile
