Could anyone try to identify the back-seater pilot on these pictures :

The picture has been taken between december 1978 and january 1979.
The Major Guy Devolder is the front seater.

The pilot's name (or nick name) in the back-seat is "Jerry" or "Terry" (see detail on the helmet) so definetely not Neil Anderdon, who was onboard with G.Devolder for the delivery to the 1Wing of Beauvechain the 26th of january 1979.

Maybe one detail : Anderson was civilian, and this pilot is apparently from the Air Force (Air Force badge under the right shoulder strap)

My best regards to all.

Serge.

After several researches, it appears those pictures have been taken on the 26th of january 1979 before the delivery flight of the FB-01 to Beauvechain. The aircraft was parked in front of the SABCA hangar, with a lot of VIP's surrounding the area. (Authorities and Reporters).

Here's an other pic taken at Beauvechain a few minutes after the landing. Our mysterious pilot is welcomed by the CO of the 349 Squadron, Maj Wilfried Debrouwer.

In regards with the silver oak leaf on the shoulder, this is a Lieutenant Colonel, so for sure not Neil Anderson.

Rgds to all.

The answer to my question is on the following picture :
http://www.sergebonfond.be/images/stori ... detail.jpg

The name of the back seater of this first FB01 flight was the Lt Col Jerry Singleton (USAF)

The Col Jerry Singleton (retired) is actually leaving in Fort Worth and is the President of a company based in the heart of the city.

Was evidently only three years before his retirement in 1982.

Greets,
