F-110 or F110....
Head-hunter that doesn't know there is a difference?
All kidding aside; how about some details Mr Hartwell? Especially country of duty, length of contract, company?
A few details may yield more contacts. (Versus being vague...)
Thanks,

As someone currently working on this program in country at the moment, let me also throw out there that Aviation Recruiting is hiring for the Saudi company I currently work for called AEC (Advanced Electronics Company). There have been a few posts made in the jobs section regarding this company. You might want to read up on peoples opinions of the work environment over here. It'[Link pending approval] interesting. If you're having a hard time finding work and want to make some decent tax free money at an easy job for a little while and add some stuff to your resume for a better job down the line, this is the place to be. If you're looking for [Link pending approval] your best bet would be to look elsewhere. Once you're locked in to a contract here, you're locked in and there's almost no chance to renegotiate your contract (ie-money), even when you go to roll over to your next year.
So if you look to hire on with [Link pending approval] HAGGLE HAGGLE HAGGLE!
EDIT: Oh, and you don't need the minimum 10 years of experience as the job listing states. I was hired with 6 years engine experience with zero problems, as have many others. |

Go figure, they're trying to hire people every 6-8 months... |

What an ignorant post! Tells how much you know about the workings of the RSAF and AEC in particular.
Keep in mind, the RSAF just switched all of their S model F-15s from the PW229 to the F110. Thus the need to hire people with GE experience, than PW experience. The positions that are open are in King Khalid (Khamis) and King AbdulAziz (Dhahran) which are S model bases. to my knowledge, all by 4 aircraft in Khamis have been modified, all of Dhahran have been completed.
Just sayin'.
I am NOT an Engine Mechanic, but I can attest to AEC. Keep in mind, AEC's contract is up come the end of 2010, and I'm surprised they are still hiring. We have 2 almost 3 slots (mine in particular) open in Avionics, and they aren't replacing the bodies. Due to the contract PROBABLY changing hands come the end of the year. |

Well what I can tell you is how VERY often I see job postings here to work for these contractors. Funny how they always seem to be the same country? (and trust me I've spent some time there too on the MIL side of Desert Storm and know I'd never go back, $$ or not.)
Between the contracts always changing hands, and the respective companies constantly hiring through multiple recruiting agencies, it SEEMS as if they have a hard time retaining people. If not why don't they hire directly? or use the same recruiting agencies? are they trying to hide who they are? Like they don't post how much they're paying, or where the contract is? Notice Mr. Hartwell didn't respond at all to questions posted?
Wizzbang said it... little advancement, no raises, looking for something better down the line, reading up on the conditions... wanted 10 years experience but will be happy with 6... (none of which are good things in this career field...)
Trust me, I hear about these types of jobs from many other places than F-16.net...
When you've been in the engine maintenance community for 20+ years you develop contacts all over. Most of the time we 'hear' about job opportunities weeks if not months before they show up here. You also 'hear' about the quality of the jobs/companies too. (aside from the posts/comments on this site.)
If you were a jet engine mechanic with compensate-able experience I may have a few lucrative, friendly, hassle-free avenues for you to peruse... but I prefer dealing with the people I know, and they people they personally recommend. People looking for a career and not to fill a resume with 1 year contracts for third party companies who'll take anyone who can spell enjine on their resume, and know how to read a Tech Manual; that's not true experience.
Enough said.
Keep 'em flyin'
