Please familiarize yourself with the acronym "OPSEC". Thank you.

Knowing whether or not aircraft sit alert at a base is probably not an OPSEC issue. Most, if not all fighter bases, have aircraft ready to scramble in case of an intruder.

However, asking questions like how many, where they're parked, and how long it takes them to get airborne is an OPSEC issue that probably shouldn't be discussed here.

It should be a no-brainer for anyone to conclude that combat aircraft are on alert at any given moment worldwide. However, the specifics of base location, airframe type, and alert duration most certainly fall underneath the OPSEC umbrella.

The mission at here at the 31st Fighter Wing is to deliver combat power and support across the globe to achieve [Link pending approval] and NATO objectives. As razamanaz states above, the alert status of our aircraft is not releasable due to operational security.
