| On this picture, the Norwegian viper is carrying 2000lbs "Live" bombs, what are they called? I see that they look bigger than the GBU 12 I was planning to use on my viper model... Sorry that I ask such a simple question, I am a Newb! |

looks like GBU-24/B.. Mk-84 bomb body with a Guidance control unit (GCU) and tail package.. i could be wrong because the red streamer on the tail of the bomb is on the opposite side of USAF gbu-24.
the GBU-12 is much smaller (500lbs) u might be thinking of the GBU-10 same bomb with a different tail package and guidance unit.
personally i think the F-16 looks better with slant loads on a TER... like 4x CBU or 4x GBU-12 |

If you REALLY want to get technical, they're called LSPC devices... you know, Landscaping and Population Control? |

Cant load the pic beacuse I'm at work but the streamers could be on diff sides beacuse tail posion on bombs change depending on what airframe we build them for. They have a Refrence pin that can be put at diff positions in relation to the suspension lugs ie: 9 o'clock 12 o'clock etc... which will change where the fuze acess door is and the streamers etc. Also the GBU-12 looks like a "baby" G-10 but uses a Mk-82 body and a diff Aerofoil group however the Smarts (MAU-169) are the same. |
