Good see the DOD came to their senses and ceased production on the overpriced/undertasked piece of FOD...

Huh? We have to be prepared to fight high intensity conflicts as well as insurgencies. Quickly establishing Air Dominance is vital to minimizing casualties. |

| rossdawg we've spent trillions of dollars on nuclear warheads, missles, bombs, bombers, trident subs, etc. etc. and never used them but we won the cold war.....so your point is what? The absolute best weapons we have ever produced are those we have never had to use because they were so dominant that adversaries were detered from trying. I hope the fact that you append your on-line name with 16 does not mean you fly or fix Vipers because, if you do and have that opinion of the Raptor, I am not too keen on you being a part of our weapons system. I sat nuke alert in Vipers for ten years before they were ever used in anger and nobody questioned the value of what was a very expensive aqusition program for the time and never used 1980-1991 and the Eagle for an even longer period. Our potential adversaries are already gleefully developing A/A capabilities to challenge even the Raptor because we have stopped investing in maintaining our superiority that has precluded the need to use our dominant capabilities to date. |

I'm guessing you're a troll but if not let me guess; you want a thousand strong fleet of Reaper UCAV's or some other such idiotic idea, it's all I can assume from that mindblowingly stupid comment of yours.
(is there an ignore function on this forum as I think i've found a worthy candidate for it.) |
