You really need to talk to your Lockheed CETS rep. They should be able to help you diagnose the problem and explain why it is occurring.

Generally SMS-079 is a Station 9 RIU problem. Changing out the AMRIU or MRIU in the launcher (depending on which launcher we are talking about) will fix the problem.

Cheers,

When was the last time you ran a mux test on this jet? I'm talking about all three muxes--A, D, and W. We did it on our fleet every phase and we NEVER had mux problems once we went through the fleet the first time. Since I've retired I've forgotten what the tester is really called, but we called it the "Muxbuster". Oh yeah--it's the MBFI. Use it. It's a good tool and you'll learn a lot about the various muxes.

CETS is contract engineering technical support. You should have a Lockheed engineer on site or in your country that you use for advanced technical support.

What country are you in?

Order the MBFI cable kit and the software ASAP! Go through your support or Item Manager. Weapons cannot live without that tester verfiying the W and C mux matrices so it's a must for troubleshooting your weapons system!

My information is at least five years old now, so it may be outdated. The MBFI is nothing more than a PC with the appropriate program and a cable set. When I was using it it covered all models and all blocks. I have no idea of it's applicablity to FMS jets, but I suspect it'll work for them, too. FMS to Americans stands for "Foreign Military Sales" under which Turkiye qualifies. Hope this helps. Truth be known, the MBFI is really nothing more than a glorified megohmmeter.
