Basically you can take a month to go on leave if you want.

Mid tour = somewhere about the middle of your tour...ie mid-tour - you can take up to 30 days of leave. Your choice to come back to US, visit some other country or take leave in Korea... don't laugh, some people do it. Bottom line is that you are authorized 30 days leave sometime during your tour. Figure at about your 5-7 month time frame.

is it possible to half and half it? like 2 weeks visit china, 2 weeks visit home?
