Hello everyone,

Just a question for the PAF crew, does their vipers ever carry Sparrows or do they just have sidewinders for air to air missions? In all the photos ive seen they always seem to have sidewinders. Can the Block 15s carry Amraam?

We never had Amraams. Because Amraam is carried at a different pylon. The pylons used by Paf are the ones that could carry Sidewinders ( Aim-9P and Aim-9L ). And besides, Amraam were not operational that time. Abt Sparrows, I don't think we ever had sparrows but I am not sure about it. A little help from someone would be helpful.

Hi,
They only carry Sidewinders.We did order sparrows in 90's but Pakistan was sanctioned due to Pakistan's Nuclear Project (which was more important for Pakistan then BVR capability at that time) so we never got them.Pakistan F-16's will be MLU'ed In turkey and they will be then equipped with AIM120C5...Pakistan also ordered 500 AMRAAM"s which will delivered next year and they will be used with PAF Block 52's until we get the MLU's on old F-16s.

Can't wait for Paf F-16s to be upgraded and also the induction of new one's which will boost our power and then those vipers will be rocking...Anyways, the F-16's which will be MLU'ed in Turkey, will they have HUD like the one's currently used in Block 30 or the one's used in Block 40/42s ???
