I believe that is the steering strut that is hydralic actuated, like your power steering on your car.

I'm also building a large scale F-16 with a turbo-jet engine and trying real hard to keep as scale to the real aircraft as possible. I really can us some close up detail of the main and nose gear as possible to model the linkages and castings. If anyone knows where to find upclose or cad drawing please let me know. Thanks from a guy that loves the F-16 as much a you do!

Hi,

I'm actually trying to reproduce fully detailed aircraft in CATIA, I started with an F-16.

Could the author of this topic share some drawing/pdf with the length and the position of the different components? I found some information in this topic and on internet, but i was wondering if you had any technical sheets which could contain measurements Smile

Any help is welcome Smile

Hi guys,
when the main landing gear is retracted are the two pieces of block system aligned blocking the movement?
greets,
Pablo

pquispea -
would you be willing to share you SW files? Specifically for the landing gear, but the entire airframe would be nice too.

thank you,
Brian

No - These holes are for the Anti-Rotation bracket pin; used when jacking the nose strut (so the nose piston and wheel dont move on you)

@ Pablo.

1. No.

2. And the uplock system misses total... There is a uplockroler on the shockstrut, that hook's up by a hook, when the main landing door closes.
