Hi guys,
The 493rd have recently bolt holed to Coningsby whilst Lakenheaths runway is repaired... So what do you do when at Coningsby? Answer: Get your butt kicked by the resident Typhoons.
One witnessed mission for a 5 v 2 with the 5 being 15's!
Funny, I heard just the opposite happened. Can you tell us where you heard that the F-15s had DACT and that they got beat up or is this just conjecture or RAF bravado on your part. |

You refer to the 18 alskan F-15C with the V2?
Correct. There are other things as well.
Could you elaborate if possible? |

| Well there is the homing pidgeon launching pod and various other widgets. Yes the V2 was mainly what I was referring to. |

| Thanks. Just one more thing, have these F-15s received the JHMCS and FDL in the meantime? That's the reason for my original statement, as to my knowledge the 493rd FS F-15Cs were the first to be equipped with the APG-63V1, JHMCS, AIM-9X and FDL in one package. That's why I rated them as higher or more capable over the V2 equipped alaskans which lacked the other capabilities, at least for some time. |
