I have been getting a lot of mixed reports. Some say the F-35 is louder than the F15, F16 and F-18 while others says its about the same as current jets.
So how loud is the F-35 for all flight profiles? |

IIRC, One thing to consider is that the F-35 can takeoff, combat loaded, without using the AB while the others will likely need the AB.
In that way it is most definitively not as load as legacy fighters.
While over the AO in full AB, who cares how load it is. |

You may not care, but I do. Why? Because the louder the better. Yes thats right I'm not one of the liberals who hates the military and says the F-35 is too loud. No I want the F-35 to be louder because the sound of a fighter is music to my ears.
I get what you mean about take offs, but in full AB the F-35 is louder than the F-15 and F-16 right? |

Well rest easy '23'; the F135 of the Lightening II is VERY loud when compared to the F110 and F100 of the Vipers and Eagles.
Read through "F-35 twice as loud as the F-15!" thread.
