I'm hoping they used the fully integrated catbird instead of just the BAC-111. If they're already up to running simulations with full sensor suite against 4th and 5th gen systems then that says alot for the M&S that Bill Sweetman has so many doubts about.

As of May, the radar has only flown in the CATB for an hour. I think they are still running it through it's paces.

The EW/CM systems just got installed in CATB in the Spring of 09 also.

Would love to be a fly in the wall when the big boys discussed how their toys performed.

While I cannot comment on system performance, I thought you might be interested in an APG-81 video we just posted today:

Thanks, S from NG, impressive kit. I guess if on the odd chance the radar becomes unserviceable that the whole thing (sealed unit?) is replaced "in 30 minutes"?

Can't you do a corporate video without stealing the sound-track from one of those movies where the most complex line of dialogue is "I'm here to clean the pool"?

/if you know what I mean and I think you do

Underhill, as chipper as always. Sounds more like a video game to me though.

Yeah, sounds too upbeat and dramatic, y'know?
I like how they hint that you could put an APG-81 on a B-52... that would be pretty interesting.

Better than the heavy metal crap they put on most other such videos. Reminds me too much of a gathering of gun-toting, blood-hungry rednecks.

These videos' producers should take a page from Kubrick and learn to put classical music to good use, which can be profoundly stirring, as in the use of Also Sprach Zarathustra and An der schönen blauen Donau in "2001".
