Eight months to tear-down and reassemble those NEW F110 engines for bearing issues? WTF

I guess those GE's are working out just as great in the Saudi's Eagles as they did the Koreans? LMAO

So 91 GE F110's at $450 Million gets you out of your "F100 issues" for what 8 or 9 months? before you have to tear them down and inspect the bearings anyhow.... Rolling Eyes

Keep 'em flyin' Thumb
TEG

Good luck with the temp-job; I heard about this months ago through the 'engine guy grape-vine'... I see it's getting down to the wire now. "respond no later than 8 July, 2009"... ? Less than a week from now, and be in Saudi ready to work in about 45 days!? Doh

Sorry, just an after-thought... (sorry to all for the double-post Embarassed )

For the sake of knowing Mr 'Recruiting Department', how much is Reliance Aerotech Services willing to compensate aviation gas-turbine technicians with the above mentioned qualifications for a short notice, temporary contract such as this?

Pay range, benefits, bonuses, etc...

Cheers TEG

These are probably the engines that got "gravity checked" and realigned by a forklift driver at JFK, eight in all.

There are more than eight and they were improperly handled during transport thus requiring the bearing inspection.

The compensation for this starts at $1875 per week not including bonuses with all travel and lodging paid for.
