Totally agree Meat. Yes, our country seems to have gone crazy (maybe just haven't noticed how crazy we've become in recent years) and short on memory (among other things)!

I know, there are so many indicators, either we are becoming "numb" to it all or just saturated with it and we are in the overload mode letting it roll off hoping it does not stick, in any event..I am sadden by most of what I see, hear and read these days, even my President is scaring the crap out of me with his lop sided view of government

I agree on the need for another Reagan, but nowadays, nobody in politics is intelligent enough to be that much of a realist. they're all lemmings. We are no longer a country of people governed by people, we are a country of lemmings run by lemmings....and folks, the cliff's approaching quick.

The real shame of the last election is in the future when a candidate says he's the change the country needs, the citizens are going to look at him, remember the last schmuck that said that and he'll end up losing the election.

This country needs change, but then again, we need gradual change. You simply CAN'T undo 230+ years of doing something in 8 years, and let's face it, this guy's ain't gettin' reelected!

I'm predicting Mickey Mouse and Bugs Bunny will have banner years in 2012!

I don't actively hope for the failure of America, and I'm sure TC doesn't either.

However, if things don't change, the American Dream WILL end...all great societies have withered to nothing, remember Rome and Egypt? Or Babylon and Greece? All great, and none are around in the grandeur they used to have.
