Other informations about 2 Special Vipers.
The Red Viper was ridden by Maj Salvatore "Cheero"Ferrara, Commander of 10th Fighter Wing (10 Gruppo Caccia in Italian).
In this flight Cheero totalled 1000 hours of F-16. Some years ago , Cheero tatalled also 1000 hours with the F-104S/ASA-M Starfighter . |

Italy has come a long ways in the last ten years. From flying very old F-104's to Vipers and Typhoons...... |

| Well their Vipers aren't that chronologically new. But compared to Il Zipper? Si Si! Definitely a leap forward. |

| Block 15 and AFAIK, the cockpits are the old analog style reflective of the ADF config when they were first fielded. Airframe may have gone thru some mod work prior to delivery. |

| Looks like they stayed just outside the port holes for the paint job, but it does look great for a show bird. Give a good wash and wax every so often. |
