Well, the database state that it transferred in to 457FS during June 2007 - that means that if you pics are from before this, you wouldn't have seen it. Also, usually it takes a while before Unit markings are applied, furthering the delay in showing the new Viper to the public.

True words, Niels - but I´m still not convinced Wink - personally I still believe those two gals are hidden somwhere in one of the test units either at Eglin or Edwards.

I spent the day with the 457th less than a year ago and did not see 87-0383. the two D-models I saw were the ones already mentioned.

That doesn't mean it's not there, but I'd be very surprised if it were. It also does not appear to be at Eglin, Henrik. I was there two weeks ago, and didn't see it.

Thanks a lot, Jake!! It suppots my theory - and then not - at least about Eglin!! Edwards maybe?! It´s really strange that these two Vipers have been away for so long and not been written-off!!

Cheers,

Henrik.

88-0152 was in the ALC a couple of months ago and the paperwork stated that it was going to be based with the 388FW.

Would that make sence? Digitizing a jet that is analogue from the outset? With less hours remaining compared to total life span?

it wouls make no sense, at all, Niels!! And I´m still very skeptic about 152 being assigned to the 388th FW!! 88-0152 is VERY strange - only skecty sightings since she left Ramstein in 1994, so nearly 20 years of "hiding"!!

Cheers,

Henrik.

If I get any confirmation about -0152 I will of course post it here.

Perhaps one of the USAF members can confirm something or maybe it will be down to the mark one spotter to see the aircraft at some point.

Thanks Boman but that info is outdated as it isn't with the 457FS anymore!

Ooops, sorry Mark!

Checked scramble.nl too, and that is even more outdate as it states 87-0383 to belong to 466FS Wink
