No, all we need is one team in LA. Two in the same city no doubt played a small part behind the Raiders and Rams leaving.
When downtown was behind the AFC team, and the outlying areas and Orange County supporting the NFC team, it was hard to get both sides to get behind one team. Both sides were bitter and upset about losing "their" team, when Al Davis and The Old Dead Wh0re decided to pull the trigger on LA simultaneously. Raiders fans were not going to support the Rams, or vice versa.
Granted, that was far from the only reason for the loss of both teams, but it was one factor.
My point is, one team per city = more support for the "hometown" team. Remember the public outcry when the Browns left Cleveland? There were many people who protested that bonehead move who didn't even like the city of Cleveland, let alone the Browns.
Your proposed teams in the middle of Farmer Fred's pasture would never work. The support and infastructure just aren't there. In this day and economy, the Packers are the only small-market team which could still stand a chance.
Having been stationed in Oklahoma, I can vouch that with Sooners and Cowboys college football, they could care less about having an NFL team. When they do root for the NFL, they like Dallas.
Oh yeah, and Salt Lake City is a lot closer to Denver than Seattle. My friends from SLC are all Broncos fans. SLC could possibly support an NHL team, but not an NFL team. If nothing else, a lack of beer sales would be detrimental to their stadium profits.
Toronto actually may get the Buffalo Bills, but again, LA needs a team before anybody else. If the Bills decide to leave Buffalo, and LA still does not have a team, then they should be forced to move to LA...and then change their mascot, which would no longer be relevant. Til then, Toronto has the Argonauts.
As for Vegas? See my above Toronto rant. |

Guess I need to go spend more time in Mr. Bonetti's Sports Marketing class. |

| I, unfortunately for sports, live in Ohio. I started out in Cleveland and saw when the Browns left, then moved to Cincy so now I've got the Bungles (Bengals). I also went to Purdue, whose football team always had TONS of potential but could never play for a full 4 quarters. At least when I was at Purdue I could root for Indy so I would know what it was like for a team to have a winning record. Sunday sports are usually cringe-worthy around here. |

I'd still guess a Raider fan feels better than a Lions fan...the Red Wings are the only good sports team in Detroit, but that's off the scope of this topic.
PS, I don't think blow is censored |

| The Tigers are moving up/hovering there, but you're right. The Lions are definitely one $h!t show that needs some serious work. |

Ya'll got all the sob stories in the world about ya'lls teams. But I'm Saints fan (enough said)
I use to be an "Oilers" fan but when they traded away Earl Campbell and Kenny Stabler And fired Bum Phillips the same year. I followed all three to New Orleans and been with them ever since. (What was I thinking?)
But anyway good luck to all ya'lls teams this year.(except the cowboys, sorry its a Houston thing) |

Houston, Texas. Home to the most Cowboys haters I've ever seen, with maybe the exception of Philly.
Yet one more reason why Houston is still my favorite city in Texas! |

The Saints are a LOT better than the Lions! Without the Saints, I somehow don't think New Orleans would have bounced back as rapidly as it did. |
