Here is some photos of the PAVEWAY IV ( UK Raytheon Production Version from what was learned from Enhanced PAVEWAY )

Dual Use: Not just an LGB but also GPS/INS ( like JDAM if you want ).

Would love to see something like this for our highly useful GBU-12 !!!!! Be nice to see us use one type of PGM work more often. That way you hang one type of general use PGM that gives more mission versatility to the pilot. AFAIK we don't do dual use ( our Enhanced Paveway a la F-117 for example ), enough. Of course you have to keep cost down but that could be possible. Also if dual use kits were still more expensive than JDAM at least you would get some kind of payback in that cost by having one PGM kit for dumb iron in your supply chain leading out to the war.

This is great and all but I think that SDB is the way the USAF is going, can't speak for other countries.

Have never seen a Paveway IV before but this looks very close. Would love to hear your thoughts.

Actually the GBU-12F/B is a dual mode 500lb but only being used on F-18A-F and AV-8B
