My best suggestion is to make friends with the guys in the sporting goods department at WalMart. Have 'em give you a call when it comes in.
I'd have an easier time trying to find gold in the desert than trying to find 9mm these days |

I haven't looked in awhile, but can you still get brass, powder, bullets, and primers? I used load for 3006, 38/357, and 41 Mag. It's not hard and you can set yourself with good stuff for not alot of money. If your interested, check this place out.

| It's friekin amazing how hard it is to get nowadays. I need to run out to the wally world and check on it. I just really hate going there. I looked at the midwayusa site and they are also sold out. I found a website where they still have some .223/5.56 if you're interested let me know. |

If you’re in the area check out the Las Vegas gun shows ... they normally have tons of it
Probably real expensive now due to the shortage?

I bet the price of ammo will be as expensive as the gun. This is just another way to make the paying customer dig deeper into his pocket, and you can't tell me that a lot of people are taking adavantge of this and charging as much as they like. Even when more & more people are having to make ends meet anyway they can.
But I guess we voted for change...!!!! and now we got it. so lets all enjoy and see what's next. |

The way I've heard it, the answer to that would be yes. I've heard that the military has recently stopped selling the brass, left over from qual, to ammunition wholesalers, who clean it and reload to sell to the public. I've also heard there has been a lot of stockpiling going on. |

| I definately think the stockpiling is the cause. And of course when you sell more ammo than you can make, the price will go up. In kinda weird uncertain times like these, I can't really blame the stockpilers. I wouldn't say I'm one of those, but i'm buying more than i normally would. Sucks for the folks you just plain like to shoot guns! |

| Only thing I can think of is, this was years ago so probably different these days, your small arms training form (522?)could be used to skip the class required for some CCW's. |

The bit about the military not selling brass got reversed about two days after it happened |

I guess this ammo shortage is for real … gone to Outdoor Worlds Bass Pro Shops and a few Walmarts looking for .40 and they were out of everything.
The only handgun ammo on the selves is that big crazy stuff like .480 and .500
Unbelievable! |
