Hello all,
One more of my "Vipers at War" this time a "Small Inlet" Block-30 from the 107th FS / 127th WG of the MI ANG while deployed to Incirlik AB, Turkey for "Operation Northern Watch" duties in early 2003 just before the outset of "Operation Iraqi Freedom".
The kit is a Hasegawa F-16N "Top Gun" modified to the standards of a "Small Inlet" Block-30 in ANG service.
Vipers from the Indiana, Michigan and South Dakota ANG units flew those "Northern Watch" missions in 2003 but were for political reasons not involved in the actual fighting of "Iraqi Freedom".
85-1494 build here carries a typical weapons fit from that time with AIM-9/-120s, GBU-12s and an ALQ-184(long) on the centerline as well as a Litening ER target pod.
This particular one also carreis "The Hulk - don´t make me angry" nose art.
All weapons but the Litening pod are from the various Hasegawa weapons sets and the Litening is from Modern Hobbies.
Enjoy,
Henrik. |

Hey dude!! Thanks for Your always kind comments
Well, not that many Vipers yet - those You see here are about those I have. Two Block-40s are still on the bench (most likely one from Osan and one from Aviano) and I am in the initial planning process of a VA ANG "Viper at War", another FM "Viper at War", an OH ANG (Toledo) "Viper at War" and a Block-52 from Mountain Home.
Phew - that list is long - I have more than 130 Vipers in the stash!!
Right now I keep mine stores in boxes as I ran out of display furniture space. I plan to have some glass display something as well in the future.
Thanks mate,
Greetings,
Henrik. |

| Excellent job on the smaller scale. I stick with the 1/48 vipers cause I can't see the small parts-let alone get the excellent detailing you achieve. Rock On with the 1/72 vipers! Too bad we lost the MI vipers here at MTC. Got the Warthog as a replacement (Yawn) |

Thank You proudpop - and comgratulations on Your own MI Viper. Really well done I must say!!
It is very sad about the 127th loosing its Vipers, but at least the wing will continue with manned aircraft and not those strange drones!!
Greetings,
Henrik. |

| Nice Build. I must say that this is one of the best models that I have seen. The pieces are formed and fit with an amazing amount of precision and this turned out to be a beautiful model. That really shows the amount of time you will spend making the model I would recommend this to anybody. That is closer to the real thing than any of the other models in the market. |
