| They can attach or remove the pylons on the ground, and from the looks of the picture above, they can jettison the pylons in flight, too. I think getting rid of the pylons at a moment's notice is a VERY important capability, because they can seriously increase the Raptor's RCS. That's why the primary armament is carried internally. On any mission where low RCS is paramount, the pylons wouldn't even be attached. |

On F-16s and F-22s the pylon/fuel tank jettison together, leaving a 'clean' wing station.
I have not seen pics of other wing stores on F-22s. |

| Inside the tanks, there are three internal sealed sections; forward, middle, and aft. They designed the tanks to keep all the weight forward to the last gallon, and to reduce the weight and balance issues of fuel shifting. With that being said, the tank refuels using a spill over system. Forward fills, then spills over to middle, then spills over to aft. Transfer is reverse operation. |

| Sure looks like standard Viper tanks. Would be smart ot use an already proven design if they can. |

| The spill over design is very similar to that of the F-16, with the exception of where the fuel is routed inside. However, the tank looks identical to an F-15. Almost like a hybrid F-15/F-16 combination tank. |

The tank is based off the Viper 600 gal tank, and nothing to do with the eagle tank.
