| Splitz, you make a great deal of sense. Taking sick days and then being seen downtown---not good.I worked for Alsalam and walked the chalk line. I took sick days when needed, but would never dare leave the compound. BTW was that a filipina or filipino. 2 guys beating up 1 chick must have been something behind the scenes. Peace out. |

Yes, these 2 individuals did the lowest of the low, brought a Filipina on the compound (the FEMALE VERSION) they weren't "nice" enough, then ended up in the local hospital with fractured skull. This is the type of behavior the American Contractors have while in the Kingdom, and this wasn't an isolated occurrence with these 2 individuals.
This happened about a week before I left Khamis, last I heard, the situation had been forwarded to RSAF HQ in Riyadh, but don't know what actually happened.
If I had it my way, there would have been a lynch mob on both drunks. |

| Its not really the lowest of the low. When I was in Kingdom, guys brought them on the compound all the time. Nothing new or despicable here. BTW Im narried to a pinoy, so I don't have axe to grind. Anyway I heard some bad things about Khamis. Someone said it was a little oligarchy. Lot of whining from the dependents. I don't know, heresay maybe. Hope the filipina gets better, and tell her to choose more wisely. |

I gather from the above post that the "WS" has returned to active duty? How about a name to go along with the rumor? |

Who cares?? Does it really matter at this point anyway? AEC lost the rebid contract to Al Salaam anyway. If the TSP workers want, they can re-negotiate their contract when it changes hand come December 2010. Its not difficult.
AEC f***d themselves and most TSP employees over by severely underbidding back in 2007. Good riddance to AEC in my opinion. I'm no longer in the Kingdom, but I do know quite a few individuals that applaud this change, but its funny, most of them applauded the change from Al Salaam to AEC back in 2007. LOL |

Latest Update on the White Shirt thats going to Red Flag [Link pending approval]
AEC had to cancel ALL TDY's for EVERYONE ELSE in the company in order for this certain White Shirt to go TDY to Vegas to stay in a 5 Star Hotel.
With a little over 180 days left for AEC the company can no longer afford any more TDY's only for this Sorry a$$ of a White Shirt. |

| Whenever this contract rolled over to Alsalam in Jan 2011 all of us had to move to new compounds, singles went to Jazala 2 in Dammam and married with families went to Jazala 1 in Dhahran. The problem with the move at J2 is that you have to share a villa with the British or another American. At the Jadawel compund everyone had their own villa regardless of your status. There is NO security in J1 and your living with other Arabs with noisy children running around all hours of the day and it could be a prime target for terrorists since it is very close to the main highway. J2 on the other hand is has very good security, but it is very far from most shopping areas---you basically need a car since the shopping bus only runs 3 times a week. Alsalam took away our HL and IL (Home Leave) and (Incentive Leave) , and replaced it with a 500SR monthly payment for you and your dependents. TJ is the site supervisor at Dhahran and his HR dept is run by Saudis, which means your paperwork for pay, visa, drivers licenses, doesn't get processed in a timely manner and sometimes it is lost and forgotten when it goes to Riyad. Alsalm is also putting people that the RSAF has found them to be FUs and put them in other F-15 positions that they have no experience doing. My advice is to stay away from Alsalam. |

I see the jobs listed on JSFirm all the time. Are they really only paying 36K a year?
Thats what I was making in At Taif 21 years ago with Agusta. |
