The Greek F-16(D) 52+'s have other serial numbers than the USAF. But if a Greek jet is put through testing at Edwards AFB for an extented period, is the Greek serial number then replaced by the original US serial number (AF xx XXX)?
I have seen Greek F-16's at Edwards with USAF roundels, but I couldn't see if their numbers were changed at their tails... |

Hi JanHas,
All F-16s that are kept at Edwards AFB for type testing get USAF serial numbers attached, as with the Greek aircraft. This is done because the aircraft will be part of a USAF squadron who will perform the tests.
If the aircraft is going to be delivered to the air force of destination, the final (local) serial numbers will be applied on the tail (or wherever they are supposed to be).
