Guys,

Can anyone tell me what pressure range is used for the pressurizing the G-suit in the F-16 and how it is regulated?

Is there any difference in the pressure setting in flight under real manoevring andwhen used in the simulator?

regards

Skybert

Regarding sim use: USAF decreed they didn't have to wear the suit in the sim shortly after the first sims were deployed. Since you're not under G, it was really wicked uncomfortable when that thing inflated. Borderline painful in fact. Sometimes they'd wear the suit but not plug it in to get an idea of what sitting in the jet with the suit on felt like (usually the newbie drivers with zero Viper time).

Dunno how many sims today support the suit, but the ones I worked on before I left for the civvy world (Link UTDs) didn't have a fitting for it.
