Need some advice on fuel indication during aircraft startup. Recently a pilot ask me about the limit of fuel transfer for your FR and AL from no droptanks to 3 external tanks. Is there a limit whereby one side of the system either FWD or AFT is transfering slower than the other system? I know that with no tanks, no trim is allowed. 2 wing tanks, 1 trim is allowed. 3 tanks, 2 trim is allowed.

Best Regards

Bro Whiskey, there is no limit of fuel transfer for our fuel system. If you talk about startup than we only will have an engine feed limit which is if I remember correctly should be 500-2000lbs/min on idle.
Else, our closest limit should be ext tanks transfer rate which you sort of mention about tanks config. The transfer rate should be about 500lbs in 4 mins? sorry dun have the T.O so dun really remember the figures.
If a/c is config with no tanks, no trim is allowed. If a/c either config with CL or 2 wing tanks than it is allowed to trim once. If a/c config with 3 tanks, the pilot can trim twice. Hopefully i'm answering your queries.

Cheers,
Simon
