I have not seen it done but it looks pretty simple. FTI came up with the USAF approved repair (Forcemate bushing repair). According to my sources it only takes a few guys and a day or two for each aircraft. If FTI is not involved with your repair it is probably not the newes technology. With that being said; the earlier bushing repairs had manny issues, that is why FTI is now repairing the ribs.

What issues are there with the early repair? SABCA uses a aluminium bush and a "washer" in the bottom, but FTI uses a single piece stainless steel bush. That has to be a nightmare to remove if the repair isn't successfull.

The bushings have been migrating out when no tank is installed. I had also heard that it was not solving the corrosion issues.

FTI uses stainless steell bushings on aluminium surface. I think this solution will not solve the [Link pending approval] Next years we will see corrosion issues on same places. This time rib will be [Link pending approval]
