The last info I can find showed him at Misawa as a Colonel. Mike was the Exec Officer to the Commander, 16AF ( and one hell of an F-16 pilot) when I was the Senior Enlisted Advisor. I've gone the Google route without much luck - hopefully someone here might know him. Thanks.

Brian, I know how you can get in contact with Mike. However, I don't feel comfortable disclosing that information to you untill I know who you are.

With all due respect, how does a Senior Enlisted Advisor know if someone is "one hell of a F-16 pilot?"

We need to live in a more reality based world here people. This kind of statement is right up there with Eagles are better than Vipers, the F-35 ain't sh*t, etc.

Now, if you had said "he is the best Colonel I've worked with," I could respect that opinion. Of course, it would be yours.

Most times I guess I'd go on intuition - like how sometimes you just know someone is a jerk.

But in the case of Col (then Capt) Lepper I relied on what his fellow pilots told me along with what his commander said. I did have the chance to fly with him in an F-16 but since my eyes were closed most of the time I really couldn't determine anything.

I have contacted him - sorry I forgot to post that earlier.

] Col (?) Michael J. Lepper

His family name rings a gong, and I just checked my file.
Colonel Lepper and Captain Sneed punched out of F-16CJ WW 90-0801 and WW 90-0811 on 13 November 2000.
40 klicks south of Okushiri Island, Hokkaidou, Japan; or about 3 klicks east of Ooshima, Matsumae Town, Hokkaidou.

AFAIK, Lepper was rescued, and Sneed was MIA/BNR.
