Guys: What are your opinions of Private military contractors?
Here's my piece: I am very conservative and a raging capitalist, so I don't have a problem with the *concept* of PMC's, or even with the contractors themselves. I think anybody willing to do that kind of work should be well paid.
BUT, I have read in several cases that the behavior of individual contractors has lead to Iraqi retaliation on US [government] troops, and THAT I have a problem with. [Read "Big Boy Rules"]
I think that they need some serious supervision, or at least need to clearly distinguish themselves from the regular army/marines.

Maybe Private Military contractors would be more useful than blue helmet UN troops, overthrow a ravaging third world dictatorship like the NLF in Sudan.
Then can be useful in black operations where it is hard to reveal the identity of the actual instigator. |
