| Radio controlled F-16 scale models are one of the popular kit available to RC flyers nowsdays, they are moulded down to 1/5 till 1/10 or small scale for electric RC flyers, the biggest one tend to be turbine powered and come with close-to-origin retract landing gears, any keen party can login our site at www.asiascalerc.com |

| Frankly speaking...It is expensive to own one and required some knowledges to build as well to fly a completed assembled model in the air, but beside all this we (modeling fans) should updates ourselves more on those kits available out there! I guess it everybody dream to own one after great enjoyment on those static modelling, just imagine about getting a functional gear system moving and more..... !!! |

AsiaScaleRC, Great topic! Please post some pics if you can! So far I've only flown R/C sailplanes (the Dynaflight "Wanderer" and Great Planes "Easy Answer ARC" if you're familiar), and I consider even those a bit pricey! Habu, yes, they sure are amazing. I've seen some true turbine engine R/C aircraft fly firsthand and I think they're just too cool ! I love some of the precision scale R/C planes I've seen and I'd love the attention to detail such as correct gear, control surfaces, and I've even heard of working afterburner! I get nervous just watching them land - I can't imagine setting down such a twitchy, expensive piece of equipment! Someday when I'm really rich I may just have to get one! It'll probably be the only way I ever get to take control of a Viper. Now, how am I gonna see the HUD? ? |

I'd love to see somebody take RC scale flying one notch further and install cameras in the plane which link to a ground station which is also a simulator pit. Blend flight simming and RC scale modelling together in one very, VERY fun package.
It's only a matter of time before somebody does it.
Actually, it already exists, in the form of RPVs.

There's a club in Long Island, New York with a member, or two, who fly RC model aircraft with video cameras aboard.
Check out
http://www.liarsrc.com/photos.html
and click on the link that will lead you to a video taken with a camera aboard a model -- not an F-16 -- flying over the club's field. This is best viewed with a wide bandwidth Internet connection. |

Hang on to the downloading time!
Hello AsiaScaleRC! I'm glad you liked my video - where did you pick it up?
That was my maiden flight with the SpiderJets F-16 powered by a Simjet 3000 turbine.
There are at least 4 large F-16 turbine models flying here in Norway, as well as some small ones with electric ducted fans! When you can't become a jet pilot yourself, it's the second best thing!
