Aircraft clipping the landing lights at BTV-Burlington Int'l Airport seems to be a continual problem. Within the last ten years these BTV lights were raised higher. Since then, a German Mig-29s exhaust nozzle sustained damage when it hit the lights during landing approach. During a fly-by a VT F-16 with gear up one of the lower speedbrakes fully extended contacted the BTV lights. Speedbrake damage XB3. A VT F-16 300GL centerline tank contacted the lights on landing approach during a night flight. The next day the Crew Chief went to refuel the F-16. During refuel there was a fuel spill. The centerline fuel tank had a small hole from contacting the landing lights. BTV maintenance personnel reported a landing light broken.
