For those of you who have been involved in a BASH incident, you know that they usually aren't pleasant, and sometimes they can be catastrophic.

You're right, some of those pics are real stomach-turners!!

What kind of bird took out that Vark??? Looks like a California Condor hit the plane.

That last pic too, wow, almost made me toss my cookies, until I saw the caption, then I was laughing so hard, but bad luck for the bird though.

IIRC, it was a pelican that hit the -111. It was an Aussie crew. The crew was ok, but the bird, decidedly was not.

No, it's fiberglass, IIRC. That's exactly what fiberglass looks like when it suffers an impact. Check out pictures of Corvette or personal watercraft crashes, and you'll see what I mean.
