Thanks for the link Sky. I'd say a good 98% of those pics can be found on our site in the "<a href="f-16_forum_viewtopic-t-5967.html">Women in and Out of Uniform</a>" thread.
However, your page definitely makes them easier to find. |

| In fact, the UAE Air Force has Emirate women in the training pipeline that will hopefully become viper pilots. Etihad,a UAE national airline also has Emirate women in flight training at Horizon Flight Academy at Al Ain Airport,Abu Dhabi emirate,UAE. |

For that last one, if you can make out the name on the canopy rail of the jet, can't you find out the serial number of the Viper, and then find the unit, and eventually the pilot's name.
First thought on that last one--I've heard of a wet t-shirt contest, but a wet flightsuit contest?
I wouldn't want to be hazed like that. |

You hardly ever fly the jet that just might happen to have your name on it, so that wouldn't really help. Then again, in this case, she just happened to luck out that day, and was on the particular jet that had her name written on it.

That's a Fini Flight hosedown. That's the one we all hope to get one day.
...and BTW, who the f#ck is McWoofWoof under the first Fini Flight pic? Did they take her picture at a f#ckin Halloween party? She looks like Drew Carey for godsakes!
Just because they are registered in AF documents as a female, doesn't mean that they are good looking. |

I was thinking that there might only be so many female pilots per unit, that would knock the odds down a few on putting a name to the face. I know pilots don't get to fly the jet with their name on it very often, as it seems she did that day. Somebody in Flight Ops probably made sure she got to fly her last on that particular jet.

I knew they did something similar with airline pilots when they retire--they take the crash tenders and douse the jet, but I'd never think they'd hose the pilot themselves! |

Don't start digging deep like that PT. You don't want to start trying to find names on Alpha rosters, or anything of that nature. If someone tried to track me like that, I'd do my damnedest to make sure that it was the last mistake they ever made.
Frankly, that's the reason why I don't post any of my flying pics online. I don't want the wrong people tracking me down. I'm quite certain that there are people out there who would like for me, this young lady, and many other aviators to answer for things that we may or may not have done to their people.
People might call me paranoid on that one, but I feel I've earned the right to be cautious about such things. When I die, I'd like it to be as an old man, not because some f#ckin jerkoff panty waist started looking too far into things that he shouldn't have.
My advice: Leave well enough alone. She's a woman, and she flew Vipers. Great. Fine. She wasn't the first, and she won't be the last. Just remember what happened to Winnie the Pooh when he stuck his nose too far into the honey jar. |

True, very true--I figured that someone would have recognized her from a former squadron.
I understand the cautiousness, and that's a good thing, because there are some b@stards that would like nothing more than to take out some unsuspecting US servicemember. I certainly meant for no harm to come to her, or to anyone who's put on a uniform of this (or any friendly) nation.
Forgive me for the dumb comment--I will edit it out, but keep this message as a reminder to myself and others. |
