SargeRedArmy01--the decals for 89-2098 are made by SuperScale USA; they also make a set for 89-2114. Do a search on squadron.com by "decals airplane, 1/48 scale, manufacturer SuperScale USA, F-16".

Look for an upcoming release for 2 more Toledo jets by another decal manufacturer soon.

Yeah, I missed that too.

The only Block 40/42s with the AIFF antennas are the Eddie and possibly some Eggie Vipers. The standard line Block 40/42s have not been slotted for the AIFF antennas as part of their CCIP mod. Though figuring tin he Viper mutation track record, that may change in the future.

Block 40/42s won't have the bird slicers, even after the latest CCIP upgrade.

Jaws your my hero.. Unfortunately... they don't seem to have them anymore, I've talked to customer service over there and they know nothing about why they stopped making them or if they can get them... I've looked everywhere I can find an no one has them. Does anyone maybe have a random set laying around they can photograph and send me so I can get some made? Kinda sucks, I'm really about to give up.

I think I've got a spare set laying around. I supplied the refs for the sheet, so Super scale sent me a few sheets as a thanks. I don't build 1/48, so they are in my stash box still. They didn't get the bee artwork to look just right, though, so you may still decide to do something else with that.

Shoot me an e-mail and I'll get you hooked up.

Your first and you've already made a base and FOD covers? I can't find fault with that!

AOA covers can be made with Thermaform. A formable plastic sheet, just add heat. FOD covers, aluminum foil!

yeah i thought about the aluminum for the covers, but they don't look right when i paint them, so I've been experimenting with other options. so far nothing has really worked nice. and i think I'm going to give that plastic a try for the aoa's i was looking at forming a piece of plastic tube that way and putting some foam in side to hold it on.

Did you prime the FOD covers before painting them?

Yeah, might wanna do that. It'll make the cover opaque. Use Tamiya white or gray primer...or Mr.Surfacer white or gray primer.
