Doh Man...most heavies have a gear warning callout when the gear is up and the flaps/slats are commanded to a particular position below a certain AGL altitude. Were they so task-saturated that they didn't hear anything? Same thing happened to a Bone at Andersen a few years back. Except....they just plain forgot to drop the gear.

Of course, it's too early to render judgment. Wait for the AIB report.

Link, we do have such equipment on the plane, and all I will say, is that your questions will be answered once the AIB releases the report. Other than that, I still can't tell anyone anything else at this time.

Man it burns not to be able to say. Give's them time to make that fabricated story even when it is a simple error in certain cases.

May have been DG. I've slept since then.

The BONE was at Diego. It was fixed, and is again flying.

Speaking of the B-One, I will be posting a video of one that took off with 3 engines to get fixed up after one engine was taken out by the PTO shaft. A sight to see.

IIRC, that was the engine explosion in Colorado back in the 80s? A Dyess crew landed it safely at a civilian field, and a Rockwell/AF MX crew did some necessary repairs for a one-time flight waiver to OKC-ALC for the completion of repairs.

That one, I know did take off with 3 engines. I have some pics of it in a book.

Yeah, so many problems. But the one I have is from, last year. It was in Deigo and IFE'd into Al Udeid with a #4 engine fire. It left for England to get repaired. Awsome TDY.

I'm sure you mean England was an awesome TDY. The best thing about The Deid is having it in your jet exhaust.

The Deid is alright for now. The heat has not really kicked up yet. Just a bunch of sandstorms and ugly women!! Wink

Yeah, that sounds about right. Do they have direct bus service from CC to North Ramp now, or do you still have to deal with that 45 minute @$$ pain to get to work?

Naw, we got our own bus for that trip. But if you miss it, you are screwed. The rotational bus goes to Ops town. That is about as close as ur getting to it. Ur hoofing it the rest of the way. You can always run from CC, i did it in 25 minutes and still shaving off!

Well, maybe they'll have direct CC - N.Ramp buses by the time I have to be sentenced to another 4 months of lockup there.

This time, I will take a chalk with me and put tick marks on my wall...
