Might be in the wrong place here; I'm new to the forum and this is my first post, so go easy [Link pending approval] maybe some of the maintenance folks can steer me in the right direction here. I'm looking to return to the Middle East, worked on F-15's in Saudi, and have worked F-16's Block 40 Aircraft here at Eglin AFB. Florida. Aside from the Lockheed web page, anyone have knowledge of where I can try and get hired on for the UAE F-16 Desert Falcon program?
My apologizes if this is off topic, but I've learned a point of contact can work wonders when trying to get hired on for a contract, as I'm sure most here already know.
Thanks everyone.

| You mean join the UAE AF? When I was there long ago all their wrenching was done by EXPATs. Most were Pakistani and Egyptian and worked the Mirages there. There are very few true UAE folks in their AF. |

[Link pending approval] Lockheed presently has a contract with the UAE to deliver 80 Desert Falcon F-16's. I'm looking for employment as an expat working with the UAE Nationals ... was hoping someone might have information other than Lockheeds Web [Link pending approval] not too much info there. |

[Link pending approval] not too much info concerning hiring for the [Link pending approval] I thought others in the forum might have considered/knew of another site/s with some updated information, or someone who is presently employed for the Desert Falcon Progam. |

| Have you inquired directly to Holloman rather than thru Lockheed? |

| When you go to the LM site, make sure you do a complete search, under all "sub" companies of LM, not just Aero. Set it up to "ANY" for all fields, except location, then select overseas. |

I can tell you right now that all of the mechanical/avioncs slots are filled. In fact they're overfilled. The guys are in F/W now, there are maybe 23 or 24 guys and 2 or 3 of them are standbye. Most did come put of Holloman, but not all. It's pretty much a bubba club as they all seem to know each other.
Besides, it's not that great of a package as far as money is concerned. Also just in case you decide to keep checking the LM web site, they are LM ALC (Air Logistics Center) in Greenville SC, employees, not LM Aero F/W.
Good luck.

| Thanks everyone for all your [Link pending approval] appreciate the info. Don't know if I'm ready for another "Bubba Club" [Link pending approval] had that over in Saudi on the 15's, but most of the time it's the only way to get into the club. |

| I believe you can contact Ray Norsworthy as a good contact for UAE F-16 program. [Link pending approval]@[Link pending approval] Some of my partners are already in DFW. You can still try though. |

Also when you folks apply and get contract jobs "READ YOUR CONTRACT REAL GOOD"!!, oops the contract doesn't mean anything according to Ray!! ... Good luck dudes!! |
