The old Detail & Scale volume on the F-16 has loft line drawings.
I used it as the background on my kit review web pages

Well that's a loaded question there my friend What do you mean by how it works? You want to know the full extend/retract sequence or what? In the actual jet, it's a complex process with many pivot points. For a 1:6 scale model, it's much more simplified. Also, there are plenty of 1:6 kits out there with all kinds of accessories and gear mechanisms. I don't think you need to redesign one, unless you really, really want to. |

Bob Violett Models made one I think it was 1/6 or 1/7th
Byron made one in 1/6th
and Yellow Jets makes one in 1/9
all three of these are Ducted fans, with conversions available for full turbine as well as several companies that make gear for them in electric and pneumatic.
I seem to recal a computer that would cordinate all the sequencing for the gear and doors but I will try to find that listing for you soon

i think a custom model is much better. i wouldn´t like the bulb showed in the picture in my model to mention an example and i could make any detail i want. |
