Hey guys,
I've got a question, wondering if anyone of you could help! This is unclassified information, of course!
I would like to know more about the F-16 ACES II Seat Ejection Sequence.
Is it possible that when the pilot has already selected "Aft" mode in the F-16 Dual Cockpit, the front seat will eject first before the aft seat?
Could it be possible that the M99 and M53 Initiators have been misplaced or swopped? Or that the sequence valve is incorrectly routed?
Is there a specific possibility or could there be other reasons due to the incorrect fitment of other components such as the delay initiators?
Really appreciate the help!
Thanks! |

| I know this has happened in the past (front seat went first, then the back) The "carnage" wasn't as bad as you might think. If I remember correctly the back seater had his lap area singed, hence the change of his call sign to "chestnuts"........as in roasting on the open fire LOL. It was discovered that sometime in the past the solo handle had been plumbed backwards and not discovered until the ejection several years later. |
