I know the US and our allies do some extensive training for large scale aeriel combat. Do the Russians or Chinees also have there own "comparable" exercises? Just a thought, even though they have superior numbers would much of that be negated with no experience of what to actually do if its not 1v1 or 4v4 type combat. Does anyone have any idea how it would actually play out? Any current or previous aviators care to comment.

Peridically the PLAAF has air exercises with Russia. There was a large exercise in the mid-1990s, 2000 and, 2005 with Russia, that I know of. I read about the exercise in Janes Book of Aircraft but, I do not remember the specific year or page. I googled, "PLAAF vs russian air force exercise" and I got over 2,000 hits. One of the first of which I thought was interesting is;
"Offensive airpower with Chinese characteristics: development, capabilities, and intentions"
