In my Marketing and Advertising class, I'd just gotten an assignment to do a highway billboard for an orgainization.

Since I spend most of my time in that class surfing the net, and the F-16-net, I decided to whip this up. The original pic is one from a Colorado squadron, but I photoshopped a Wisconsin 115 FS tail onto it. I know it's not the best photoshop image ever, but it is my first, and imho a great idea for the Vipers that reach retirement. Turn 'em into recruiting monuments. Haven't finished the rest of the scene, will update when I finish it. Just wanted to get it up once it got it done.

The USAF no longer uses "Cross into the blue" the full thing of that was "Everything is different and new especially you when you cross into the blue we've been waiting for you"

The USAF now uses "Above All" because of our role above the battlefield in the air and in space.

Understood, but I liked the old one better, just nostaliga i guess. besides, my classmate wanted to teach me a gradient thing in photoshop. I'll post another one with the new slogan.

But what do you think of my idea for using old -16s? IMHO, better than letting them waste away at AMARC. After all, you can still gut all the cryppie gear out all the other spare parts.

If you have a nostalga thing for the USAF recruiting slogan then you should go way back to "Aim High" Cross into the blue isn't that old not was it used for every long.

I also hauling around old F-16's for recruiting would be a huge waste of time and money. The aircraft don't waste away at AMARG they are used for spare parts for us and other nations, and one day they will most likely become QF-16's. The few F-16's that are hauled around for recuiting require a semi-truck, a crew and other crap. They really aren't that worth it in my opinion

guess you're right, but I still think that a lot of the planes in good condition should be bought up for museums.
