there have been many topics about wether we need to buy more f-22's, but lets settle this right now with a poll. Does america really need a stealth fighter at this very moment...or can/should America wait and spend this money els where.
If this question has already been answered or has already been decided by the government please tell for I havn't been able to do much because I've been so busy.

Easy peezy lemon squeezy. Of course America needs more F-22s. The more the better. Simple fact: at one point in time people were saying we don't need F-16s we have the F-4 lets just spent more money on F-4s and upgrade them we don't need F-16s.

If you wait then they will not be there when you NEED them.

They will also cost a lot more when you do decide to build them.

You do not plan & equip an military for the enemy you have, but for the enemy you "might have" in the future.

If *we the people* can afford to give wallstreet 1 trillion bucks, then YES we can certainly afford to give the USAF another 50Bil and let em get another 300 or so F22s and max out the production line to the 30+ LM said they could do before the country goes broke. If we are gonna go broke, I'd prefer to have every possible peace of military hardware that can be humanly made before it happens. We're gonna need it!

And also keep in mind: the only fair fight is the one you win!
So yes: the USAF should get more F-22's, and yes: something should be developped to replace F-15E's, B-1B's, B-52's, even the B-2's.
Because none of those will last forever.

I would have to say YES we need them!!! We need a change to the AF inventory and it needs to be one that meets multiple roles and the F-22 is just the change we need. And of course, the sooner we get them the better.
