I think it's missing an MFD too. LOL!

Uhm, you do know that the A model doesn't have MFD's? It has a SMS and REO screen but no MFD's.

Below is how a F-16A Block 10 cockpit is supposed to look.

Does anyone know which A model is used as a recruiting tool in full Thunderbirds colours? It was on display at Langley AFB Airshow this year.

Regards

Wow, that old SMS sure brings back memories. Make sure the dog-fight switch is centered prevented lots of red-balls with that unit.

I remember when I first began working F-16s … and after the night before configuration changes, I would load the actual configuration into the SMS (during my power-on checks) so the inventory would be accurate for the aircrew that day.

I was having trouble with the “step-step-shift-clear-step-load”, so I called a weapons troop over.

He said Big No No crew chiefs shouldn’t be playing with the SMS when the jet is carted. Doh

I was just trying to help! Embarassed

Block 10/15

Memories......
Light the corners of my mind
Misty water-colored memories
Of the way "things were"

Man I miss those ole birds - those were indeed the good ole days!

I always hated where they put the HUD camera on the A/Bs. I know it was the tech of the day but couldn't they have come up with something that wasn't right in the middle of your sight line? Geez!
