Somethin's changed in the last few weeks. If I'm not logged on and click "Post Reply" in a forum thread, I'm forced to login twice, and after the second login I have to navigate my way back to the forum thread I wanted to reply to. It used to be I could just login in once from the Post Reply button and go directly to reply page.

What gives? WTF

Our service provider recently performed some software upgrades. It seems to have messed up our session management.

Normally, once logged in, you should stay logged in unless you click the "log out" link - so you shouldn't have to log in each time. Which is another thing people experience some issues with.

I'm looking into it, but it's a slow process since the problem only happens occasionally (at least for me) so I have to wait for feedback from users.

If anything happens that's related to log in / log out, feel free to post it again - it will help me.

thanks for reporting this, and sorry for the inconvenience!

Well you're right on one thing. Once logged in I don't have any further issues. It's the initial login that's messed up.

The POST REPLY button should now take you to the site login screen, and back to the right topic.

Thanks for reporting the bug, and let me know if you run into any other problems.

I'm having some more problems with it Stefaan. This is the first problem I've encountered in about a week, but it has started kicking me off once I log in, and then click the link to the forum page.

TC,

try clearing your cookies (at least those for F-16.net). I have also made some changes to the session management system (which keeps tracks of logged in users), and that seems to have fixed the problem for most users. I expect the fixes + clearing your cookies should take care of it.

If you keep getting kicked off, let me know.

No prob!

At the moment I onbly fixed the POST REPLY button. There's a chance you might encounter the same problem in other situations - if so, let me know and I will fix it.

The reason for the problem is that the login system for F-16.net has changed with the last upgrade, but "they" haven't adapted the forum software yet. So until the new version becomes available, I'll just fix these issues manually.

What's up with the Sponsor add that pops up now on every thread, no matter if you are logged in or not? It never used to do that. Frankly, I find it a little annoying.
