Well, you learn something new everyday. If nothing else, the Sabre was a great looking jet, and was the best performing of its era. Always a must in a Heritage Flight. Sabre Dogs were kinda ugly, but those birds paved the way for the Century Series and beyond.

Definitely! The Vark fits this era perfectly. It served in the Cold War, 'Nam, Libya, and Desert Storm. Gotta have "The Switchblade" on the board. Good call Tim! |

Racer, the F-86 would be a little old for this topic, but we'll gladly talk Century Series jets!
F-86s were used by the PAF during the war with India. So I say its very much fair game. Plus got some decent photos of some preserved ones used as gate guars and museum pieces I can share. |

TC,
sorry for not getting back sooner. Great suggestions, we're just slow in setting it up
I'll try to make some time in the next few days though!

We've set up the new forum "<a href="f-16_forum_viewforum-f-46.html">Military aircraft of the cold war</a>", and we used TCs definition - for example, F-18A would be included, but the Super Hornet would belong in the "<a href="f-16_forum_viewforum-f-36.html">Modern Military Aircraft</a>" forum. (we renamed the "Other military aircraft" forum to "Modern Military Aircraft".
We're still busy moving the appropriate posts to the new forum, but it's open for business!.
