| Ah yes the Green Frog! Here's my quick Frog story. I hadn't been to the Eglin area since I had retired 3 years earlier, the company I worked for had a tdy so I jumped on it. I stayed at the Radisson Beach resort, used to a Holiday Inn until a huricane or something forced some changes. Anyway, I was within staggering distance of Sammy's and the Frog, I slogged my way across the highway and sat down in the "Frog" ordered my set up and took notice of the fine lady wiggling to some bad music; She was the Ex of some guy I was stationed with about 5 years before. Sure was glad to see her! She made my two week work sabbatical more recreational! Ah yes, the memories! |

Every now and again, I'd have some luck in the beach bars, but all too many times, it was jailbait drinking on a fakie, some chain-smoking, 48 year old hag who needs to lay off the crystal meth, or some drunk chick with 6 teeth and a spare tire.
Then again, I was never really counting on meeting the future, "Mrs. TC" (whoever she is) in one of those places, so it didn't matter much anyway, I guess.
...and Alamo! Picking up what a buddy left behind! Ok, I would've gone for it too. I'm not gonna lie. You were just living the dream, that's all. This Bud's For You! |
