Which warbird that's now on the market would you take?

It's a tough choice, but I think the F-5 is leading the pack for me - small, light, supersonic, and economically feasible as well. Of course, I could live with a Spitfire, Mustang, or Lightning, too Smile

So what would you want?

Since you said on the market, here are my picks:

Bearcat:
http://www.controller.com/listings/airc ... 326E6BB618

ME-109:
http://www.controller.com/listings/airc ... 326E6BB618

P-51:
http://www.controller.com/listings/airc ... 326E6BB618

F-5:

I didn't see an ad for it, but I would also have a Spitfire in my Powerball hangar. And a DC-3.

Nice list there! I think I should clarify a bit about what I meant about "on the market." I just mean one that's available to be sold to the public. Folland Gnats and MiG-21s would fall into this category, F-22s and A-10s wouldn't Wink Basically, there doesn't have to be an active for sale ad.

Ya know, a Kfir might be a nice addition to the hangar...

If I could afford a Bearcat I'd park it in my garage and give it daily wax jobs.

Obviously I'd buy one the (my) F-111Gs back from the Aussies before they scrap them. I think they're asking $1m each and there's a 'grassroots' campaign to raise money to save as many as they can.

In the meantime, there's always this:

And much cheaper maintenance too!

Alpha Jet, hands down. I got to fly it a few times recently, and it blows away anything in it's class.
