Just as a theory, if I would be in a non stealth AC and have passive sensors such as IRST/EO and I know that I might encounter a VLO/LO platform I would just stay passive as well.

Yet, how would you know in the first place???

Especially the F-22 might have problems than if LPI don't work perfect

If I'm understanding what you wrote here correctly, the F-22's LPI radar? If that's what you meant, They're pretty happy with the AN/APG-77's performance.

and if any battlefield info is limited when the 22 operates far forward.

The F-22 receives and fuses information just fine. Only thing is it doesn't have a secure way to talk to other assets which is being worked on and is common knowledge. But that doesn't really matter if the mission of the Raptors is being "Hunters/Killers".

Sure the chances will still be very low, but why presenting yourself as a target if there are other ways.

As F-22s have passive sensor capabilities as well, I'm sure Raptor drivers will agree with that statement.

That requires the AWACS being close enough to the action. When operating well into enemies territory AWACS coverage might not be sufficient. AWACS doesn't operate that close to the action to keep at a safe distance.

If you have a chance to talk to AWACS controllers next time, I would highly recommend it. They would probably be amused with such statements. Be forewarned though, don't annoy them too much with probing questions.

And datalinking said info to the forward group so they can launch their AIM-120s without ever setting any of their systems to active.

AIM-120C being launched LOAL can be done by any operator of the AMRAAM with AWACS support, is that right? So Eurofighter, other eurocanards as well as the USAF?

Me thinks LOAL is by design from AIM-120A onwards from any plane that supports it if your doing a BVR shot using the TWS radar mode, although there are other shorter range modes for launching the missile with the seeker already locked.
