I'm pretty keen on this topic, and am looking for info on it. Can anyone help me or point me in the right direction?

Well, then try this approach...if you're seriously interested in aircraft design, what better source of info can you get than from and aircraft designer. Write to one of the companies I mentioned, tell them who you are, what you want to do and WHY you want to it. Or if you have any kind of job fair in your area with aircraft companies attending, give them your information and chances are someone will respond...just as long as they see you're very interested.

Or, you can look into attending Embry-Riddle Aeronautical Univ...possibly talk to one of their recuriters and see if they can have one of their engineering professors contact you. They have an awesome Aeronautical Engineering program, two main campuses (one in Daytona Beach, FL and one in Prescott, AZ) as well as hundreds of extended campuses.

Hope that helps.
